Another Girl Applying at Hooters

So, a few days ago (on Tuesday to be exact) I decided to apply at Hooters. Some would ask why, but I mean why not?! You get to look cute at work, and actually have fun (outsider looking in). And what girl can honestly say she doesn't want to wear that tacky tank top and bright orange shorts? I'm pretty sure she'd be lying if she said she didn't want to!

Anywho, I finally went to apply, and I must say I was pretty nervous! I knew beforehand that I was going to, so like any other hopeful, I spent a lot more time on my hair and makeup. Everything had to look great! It was a hot Florida day, so I wore a white tank, some jean shorts, and a wedge heeled sandals...I felt like Daisy Duke! Finally, when everything was perfect, I hopped in my car, and 30 minutes later I was there! I walked in, smiled at the bartender and some other guy who worked there (not sure if he was the manager or not though), went up to one of the working Hooters girls and asked for an application! She grabbed one for me and said I could sit anywhere. Now, I'm already a server at another restaurant so thankfully i had a pen and didn't have to ask for one (can you say "adding to the already awkward situation?) When I was done, I got up and gave it to her and said I wasn't sure who to give it to. She yelled out some guys name (the same guy from the bar) and I guess he was a manger, we'll call him "J", but I am not too sure. J came over and took the application, shook my hand and introduced himself, and said they'd give me a call in 3-5 days and that if i didn't hear anything from them, to feel free to call to check on it. Although my heart sank because I heard they interview on spot, I smiled, shook his hand and said "Okay, thank you very much!" And left.

I was so confused, slightly discouraged, and a little upset. "No interview?" I thought. I was upset about it because I wanted the opportunity to speak  with the manager and explain my current situation about the traveling and whatnot. Oh well, let the waiting game begin...
